On March 11, 1914 Local 155 was chartered by the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers. The mission was to secure, by all legal and proper means, the highest possible employment as well as the best possible wages, benefits and working conditions for the membership. We are indebted to those who endured very tough working conditions, stood on the picket lines and fought the fights. Our industry has been shaped by those that believed in something greater. Today we are thankful for the great visionaries that were willing to sacrifice and join a labor movement. Inspiration comes by way of example.
Iron Workers Union Local 155 is a mixed local made up of a moderately diverse membership and specialty skill sets. The various skill sets include certified welders, qualified riggers, structural, reinforcing, solar, fencing, metal buildings and maintenance. There is an opportunity for growth in all sectors of the ironworker industry.
